【Phoneauto News】According to the preliminary estimate of the China Passenger Car Association, the retail market for passenger cars in September is expected to reach approximately 1.98 million units, an increase of 3.1% compared to the previous month and an increase of 3.0% compared to the same period last year. Among them, the retail sales of new energy vehicles are about 750,000 units, an increase of 4.7% compared to the previous month and an increase of 22.3% compared to the same period last year. The penetration rate of new energy vehicles remains stable at about 37.9%, continuing its steady growth trend. Data shows that the overall market discount rate for passenger cars in mid-September was about 18.2%, slightly lower than that of mid-August, but still maintaining the end-of-August terminal discount intensity. Retail sales of leading manufacturers account for more than 80%, and the retail targets at the beginning of the month have increased both month-on-month and year-on-year. It is estimated that the narrow definition of retail market for passenger cars this month will be about 1.98 million units, an increase of 3.1% compared to the previous month and an increase of 3.0% compared to the same period last year.

In the four weeks of September, the market heat of the first two weeks continued, and the average daily retail sales in the third week are expected to be 58,600 units, an increase of 7.0% compared to the same period last year. However, in the fourth week, due to the Mid-Autumn and National Day holidays, there are fewer working days compared to the same period in previous years, and the average daily retail sales are expected to be 127,600 units, a decrease of 5.5% compared to the same period last year. The China Passenger Car Association analyzed that the total retail sales of automobiles and related products in August increased by 1.1% compared to the same period last year, maintaining a growth trend despite the higher base and lower prices. In the third quarter, a series of policies to stabilize growth were introduced, including the reduction of mortgage interest rates for existing housing, the reduction of stamp duty, and the increase in the deduction amount of individual income tax, which are expected to further help residents reduce their burden and increase their income, and stabilize consumer confidence. At the same time, various regions have also launched a new round of short-term local subsidies in September, which is expected to provide stable support for “Golden September and Silver October”. However, although the continuous increase in terminal discounts has promoted sales to continue to rise against the seasonal trend, the new round of internal competition in the automotive market has caused consumers to adopt a wait-and-see attitude, leading to some customers choosing to delay their car purchases.
