Audi Unveils Q6 e-tron Prototype at the Sixth Import Expo, Set to Hit Markets Next Year

【PhoneAuto News】Recently, PhoneAuto learned that Audi showcased the all-new electric SUV Q6 e-tron prototype at the 6th China International Import Expo. This vehicle presents a fresh electric cockpit design concept and is close to being ready for mass production. It is reported that the Audi Q6 e-tron will be based on the PPE platform developed jointly by Audi and Porsche, and will use the new E3 electronic architecture. The production version is expected to be officially released and launched in 2024.

According to Audi’s official introduction, for the Chinese market, the Audi Q6 e-tron will be locally produced at the new PE factory in Changchun, FAW Audi’s factory. It will also timely launch a long-wheelbase version and an exclusive intelligent cockpit based on the demands of the Chinese market.

The overall silhouette of the Audi Q6 e-tron continues the family-style design of Audi’s electrified products. It will adopt Audi’s second-generation OLED digital lighting technology, which provides higher identification when illuminated. Users can personalize it through the myAudi application or MMI system inside the vehicle.

The interior of the Audi Q6 e-tron adopts a completely new design layout, different from the interior layout of Audi’s existing representative models such as the A6L and e-tron GT. The center console area is equipped with curved dual screens and a passenger screen, and it also offers an AR-HUD head-up display system, enhancing the overall technological atmosphere and aligning with current interior design trends.

In terms of power, referring to the relevant information of the Audi Q6 e-tron prototype, the vehicle will adopt a dual-motor layout. The maximum power output of the 55 e-tron model is 375 horsepower, while the SQ6 e-tron model has a maximum power output of 483 horsepower. The specific parameters of the battery have not been announced yet, but the prototype car is equipped with a battery pack with a capacity of 100 kilowatt-hours.
