The two parties, along with Nissan, jointly established EGT New Energy Automotive Co., Ltd., which produces nearly 100,000 pure electric vehicles annually and exports them to Europe under the Dacia brand.

On October 25th, Renault announced that as part of its global strategy, the company will invest 3 billion euros (about 23.2 billion RMB) by 2027 to launch 8 new models and increase the sales of electric vehicles outside of Europe. Fabrice Cambolive, CEO of the Renault brand, stated: “As our product renewal gains traction in the European market, we now need to make the Renault brand more global and more profitable. By 2027, electric and hybrid vehicle sales outside of Europe should account for one-third.”
