【PhoneAuto News】On June 1st, Changan’s new energy brand, Shenlan Motors, released a video on Weibo, announcing that its Shenlan SL03 model had delivered 7,021 units in May and made a strong impression in the domestic mid-size sedan market. In addition, the company’s second model, the Shenlan S7, has recently begun mass production.

According to Shenlan Motors, in addition to its outstanding delivery performance, the SL03 also won three awards in May. With its outstanding appearance and globally leading design, the car won the Red Dot 2023 Product Design Award in Germany and the Gold Award in the mid-size sedan category of the 2023 World Intelligent Driving Challenge. In addition, the extended-range version of the car also ranked first in the Mainstream Plug-in Hybrid Market in J.D.Power’s 2023 China New Energy Vehicle Product Appeal Index Study (NEV-APEAL).

7,021 units of the Changan Shenlan SL03 were delivered in May

According to previous data, Shenlan Motors delivered 7,756 units in April, and the SL03 has delivered more than 50,000 units so far. However, the delivery volume in May did decrease slightly compared to the previous month. Shenlan Motors officially launched the Shenlan brand on April 13, 2022, and its first strategic model, the SL03, was officially released on July 25, 2022, covering pure electric versions with a range of 515/705 km, an extended-range version with a range of 1200 km, and a hydrogen fuel version.

In addition to the SL03, Shenlan Motors also teased its new model, the Shenlan S7, which is about to be launched. The company stated that the new car has already arrived at dealerships and interested consumers can visit Shenlan’s stores for a test drive. It is reported that the first batch of mass-produced Shenlan S7 has recently rolled off the production line at the Nanjing factory and has started to be shipped nationwide. As the second model of Shenlan Motors, the new car is a mid-size SUV built on the Changan EPA1 all-electric digital platform. The car has already started pre-sales with a price range of 169,900 to 239,900 yuan.
