Chinese manufacturers have modified the Tesla Model Y to increase its ground clearance by 127 centimeters

【Phoneauto News】Due to the delayed delivery of the Tesla Cybertruck, off-road enthusiasts who love Tesla can only turn their attention to the relatively cheaper SUV model, Model Y. Previously, German company Delta4x4 launched the first batch of lifting kits specifically designed for Tesla Model Y/3, which consists of 1.3-inch spacers and larger tires, increasing the ground clearance of the car by a total of three inches (7.62 centimeters).

However, recently, a domestic car modification factory has introduced a stronger modification kit for Model Y/3. This modification kit, designed by Pu.Labo, can increase the ground clearance of Model Y or Model 3 by up to five inches (about 12.7 centimeters). This kit, priced at $15,000 (approximately 109,500 RMB), is manufactured in the suburbs of Shanghai and includes two additional subframes for the front and rear axles, redesigned upper and lower control arms, and a new main axle brace. A set of adjustable coilover shock absorbers designed by Pu.Labo can be adjusted in height, providing a range of adjustment between two and a half inches to five inches.

The company claims that the kit has undergone thousands of miles of testing under various conditions, including muddy, sandy, and even vehicle ramp jump tests. If the price of $15,000 seems a bit expensive, they are currently offering an early bird promotion price, reducing the price to $12,000 (87,600 RMB), which seems more reasonable. And from the video screenshots released by the company, it can be seen that after installing the new modification parts, the Tesla Model Y looks more powerful with a rugged off-road style.
