Could it be Xiaomi developing a new operating system?
【phoneauto News】On August 15th, phoneauto noticed that according to relevant digital bloggers’ disclosure, it seems that a manufacturer is self-developing an “OS that connects to new terminals” and has made phased progress. This blogger often leaks unreleased new smartphones, so this news is very likely related to several large domestic mobile phone manufacturers, including Huawei, Xiaomi, Meizu, and so on. At the same time, “new terminals” can exclude mobile phones, and this self-developed OS may be applied to other devices such as cars.
According to relevant speculation, the “OS that connects to new terminals” may refer to Xiaomi’s in-car system. Recently, there have been a lot of news about MIUI 15. Currently, MIUI 15 is likely to be released together with the Xiaomi 14 series. And according to the information previously announced by Xiaomi’s Chairman Lei Jun, Xiaomi’s first car will be officially mass-produced in 2024. Judging from the progress of MIUI updates, Xiaomi’s first car should be officially unveiled before MIUI 16 arrives. Therefore, MIUI 15 may have some improvements related to Xiaomi’s car. The interconnection between Xiaomi’s car OS and Xiaomi’s phone MIUI is something worth paying attention to.
