Is this all the supercar has got? Ferrari recalls 140 imported SF90 series cars in China.

Ferrari Recalls 140 Imported SF90 Series Cars in China Are These Supercars Falling Short?

【PhoneAuto News】According to the news from the State Administration for Market Regulation, Ferrari Automotive International Trading (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. has filed a recall plan with the State Administration for Market Regulation in accordance with the “Regulations on the Management of Recalls of Defective Automobile Products” and the “Implementation Measures for the Regulations on the Management of Recalls of Defective Automobile Products.” Starting from December 20th, 2023, a total of 140 imported SF90 Stradale and SF90 Spider series cars manufactured between November 11th, 2022 and September 20th, 2023 will be recalled.

In the vehicles within the scope of this recall, there are manufacturing deviations on the exterior of the turbocharger lubrication system oil supply pipe, which reduces the thickness and creates stress concentration. In serious cases, it can lead to oil leakage and a fire hazard. Ferrari will replace the turbocharger lubrication system oil supply pipe free of charge for the vehicles within the recall scope to eliminate safety hazards. Additionally, Ferrari has also recalled 13 SF90 vehicles in the United States this year due to issues with some seat settings. Ferrari conducted repeated certification tests on the SF90 and found that even for large passenger seats, the results were very close to the maximum threshold allowed in the motor vehicle safety standards. Therefore, starting from February 21st, 2023, Ferrari has decided to produce specially designed XL-sized passenger seats for the SF90. Ferrari stated that there have been no fatalities or injuries caused by the aforementioned safety issues. Despite being a luxury sports car, Ferrari is not immune to problems. Consumers should carefully examine product specifications and safety performance when purchasing a car and pay attention to relevant recall information.
