Lucid partners with Tesla, its vehicles will be able to access the Tesla Supercharger network

Lucid forges partnership with Tesla, granting access to Tesla Supercharger network for its vehicles

【PhoneAuto News】Recently, American electric vehicle manufacturer Lucid announced that by 2025, all Lucid models using the current Combined Charging System (CCS) will be able to charge using adapters at Tesla Supercharger stations. This move will allow Lucid owners to enjoy convenient charging services at Tesla’s charging stations, while also providing Tesla’s charging network with a greater choice of vehicle models.

In addition, Lucid plans to integrate the North American Charging Standard (NACS) into future models by 2025. This decision means that Lucid will be aligned with other automakers that have adopted Tesla’s NACS charging standard, working together to drive the development of the electric vehicle industry. Currently, automakers such as BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Honda, Toyota, Subaru, Nissan, Jaguar, Hyundai, and Kia have announced their participation in Tesla’s NACS charging standard.

Lucid CEO and CTO, Peter Rawlinson, stated, “Adopting NACS is an important step towards providing our customers with more reliable and convenient charging solutions for Lucid vehicles.” He believes that a unified charging standard, supported by the nationwide rollout of future-focused high-voltage charging stations, will be a crucial step in popularizing electric vehicles among American consumers.

With an increasing number of automakers joining Tesla’s charging standard, the standardization trend in the electric vehicle industry is becoming increasingly evident. This will help reduce consumer usage costs and improve the efficiency of charging infrastructure, further promoting the development of the electric vehicle market. As an emerging electric vehicle manufacturer, Lucid’s active participation in the industry standardization process demonstrates its strong confidence and determination in the electric vehicle market.
