[Mobile China News] According to official news from MediaTek, the MediaTek Dimensity 8300 processor will be released at 15:00 this afternoon, which is November 21st. MediaTek’s 8000-series chips have received excellent reviews, whether it’s the 8200 in 2022 or the 8300 in 2023, both have shown good performance and energy efficiency, helping smartphone manufacturers create numerous well-received flagship and mid-range models. Therefore, the 8300 chip now is definitely worth paying attention to.
According to previous reports from Mobile China, the Dimensity 8300 is built using TSMC’s advanced 4nm process. It has an eight-core CPU design, including a 3.35GHz Cortex-A715 big core, three 3.2GHz Cortex-A715 big cores, and four 2.2GHz Cortex-A510 small cores. The GPU is Mali-G615 MC6. Insiders have stated that the peripheral specifications of the Dimensity 8300 match those of the Dimensity 9000 series, and its theoretical performance surpasses the Snapdragon 7+. It can even score higher than the Snapdragon 8+ in Antutu benchmark tests.
Not long ago, the Geekbench score of the first Dimensity 8300 phone was officially released. The model is labeled as “Xiaomi 2311DRK48C” and is presumed to be part of the Redmi K70 series. It scored 1512 points in single-core and 4886 points in multi-core tests. Besides Redmi, other brands like OPPO, iQOO, and realme are also expected to adopt the Dimensity 8300 chip.
