MediaTek maintains top smartphone chip market share for 3 years in a row

【Phoneauto News】Recently, market research firm Counterpoint released the global smartphone (application processor) shipment market share for 2022Q1-2023Q2, showing that MediaTek has been the market leader for a whole year. It is reported that MediaTek has been the number one smartphone chip market share holder from 2020Q3 to 2023Q2, continuously for 3 years.

Specifically, due to seasonal factors, Apple’s sales in the second quarter of 2023 have declined. The performance of the Pro series is better.

MediaTek’s shipments in the second quarter of 2023 have slightly increased, due to the decrease in inventory levels and intensified competition in the entry-level 5G smartphone market.
