Morning News Apple may relocate its supply chain from China, while a new folding phone concept is introduced

【PhoneAuto Daily】According to a previous report by Bloomberg, Apple CEO Tim Cook admitted in an interview that Apple is accelerating the shift of its supply chain out of China, but Foxconn Chairman and CEO Terry Gou denied it. Recently, PhoneAuto has learned that an Italian designer showcased a concept foldable phone with an e-ink display, called the 0/1 Phone.

In the automotive industry, on June 28th, PhoneAuto learned from AITO Automotive’s official Weibo account that there’s a limited-time promotion for the Huawei ADS 2.0 Advanced Driver Assistance System. On the same day, Brady Wang, Associate Director at Counterpoint, stated that “the growth trajectory of China’s passenger electric vehicle market is expected to continue until 2023, with electric vehicle sales in China expected to exceed 8 million units by the end of 2023.”

On June 28th, PhoneAuto noticed that at the 14th Summer Davos Forum held in Tianjin, Terry Gou, Chairman and CEO of Foxconn, attended a sub-forum on “Asia’s Manufacturing Resurgence” and delivered a speech. When asked about Apple’s plan to transfer its supply chain from mainland China, Terry Gou responded, “No!”

According to foreign media reports, the 0/1 Phone concept foldable phone has a range of simple functions that can help users achieve balance in their digital lives. The phone adopts a common top-to-bottom folding design, seamlessly transitioning between folding and tablet modes. When unfolded, it becomes a high-quality smartphone with rich features, and when folded, it becomes a minimalist phone.

On June 28th, PhoneAuto learned from AITO Auto’s official Weibo account that Huawei ADS 2.0 Advanced Intelligent Driving Package is now available for a limited-time offer. The official post stated, “The limited-time offer is valid until December 31, 2023! The one-time purchase price of HUAWEI ADS 2.0 Advanced Intelligent Driving Package is 18,000 yuan.”
