【PhoneAuto News】The Nokia G42 5G has been launched globally as the brand’s latest mid-range product. Nokia is focusing on the repairability of phones and is partnering with iFixit to provide five years of repair guides and OEM parts, including batteries, displays, and charging ports in the near future. The Nokia G42 is the company’s first 5G phone that can be repaired by users. The phone is equipped with a Snapdragon 480+ 5G processor, a 50-megapixel rear camera, and a 5000mAh battery.

In terms of specifications, the Nokia G42 features a 6.56-inch IPS LCD HD+ display with a 90Hz refresh rate, Gorilla Glass 3, and a waterdrop notch design. The phone is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 480+ processor, paired with an Adreno GPU for graphics processing. It comes with 4GB/6GB RAM and 128GB storage, which can be further expanded via a microSD card slot. The Nokia G42 will run on the out-of-the-box Android 13 operating system and promises to receive two years of security updates.

On the back, the Nokia G42 is equipped with a triple camera setup, including a 50-megapixel main camera, a 2-megapixel macro lens, and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. There is an 8-megapixel front-facing camera for selfies and video chatting. The phone is equipped with a 5000mAh battery and supports 20W fast charging. Connectivity options include 5G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, and a USB Type-C port.

In terms of price, the Nokia G42 is currently available in the UK, with a price of 249 euros (approximately 1966 RMB) for the 6GB/128GB model. The phone comes in purple and gray colors, and it is currently unknown whether it will be released in China.
