Nokia to release new smartphone, possibly G42 5G, on September 6th
【Phoneauto News】 Nokia has officially announced that it will launch a new smartphone in India on September 6th. According to a teaser video released by HMD Global on social media platforms, this phone will support 5G and have good performance. Some foreign media speculate that this new Nokia smartphone is likely to be the G42 5G.

In the teaser video, we can see the silhouette of the upcoming Nokia phone. The new device seems to have curved edges, which is ergonomic for holding. Foreign media states that considering the Nokia G42 5G is a recent 5G smartphone released by the brand and has similar curved edges, it can be boldly assumed that the Nokia G42 5G will soon debut in India.
The Nokia G42 is a mid-range 5G smartphone, and the Indian version is expected to have the same specifications as the European market. The Nokia G42 5G is equipped with a 6.56-inch IPS LCD display with HD+ resolution and a 90Hz refresh rate, covered with Corning Gorilla Glass.

The device is powered by the Snapdragon 480+ chipset, coupled with 4GB or 6GB of RAM and comes with 128GB of storage, which can be further expanded using a microSD card. The Nokia G42 5G runs on a close-to-stock Android 13 system and has a built-in 5000mAh battery with support for 20W fast charging.
In terms of cameras, the Nokia G42 5G is equipped with a 50MP main camera, accompanied by a 2MP macro sensor and a depth sensor. The phone has an 8MP front camera for selfies and video calls.
