【PhoneAuto News】The upcoming new phone, OnePlus 12, has been exposed in some CAD-based renderings today. As previously rumored, this smartphone will be the first OnePlus phone equipped with a periscope zoom camera.

The rendering shows that the design of the OnePlus 12 camera module is very similar to that of the OnePlus 11, with some modifications due to the presence of the periscope lens. The main camera and ultra-wide-angle camera are located in the top row of the camera module, while the periscope lens occupies the bottom row separately. OnePlus 12 still collaborates with Hasselblad, and the corresponding logo is placed in the middle of the two rows of cameras. This design adds a lot of recognition to the phone.

On the front of the device, the OnePlus 12 screen is slightly curved, with a centered hole-punch design. It is worth mentioning that this design is a big change for OnePlus, as even OnePlus 11 uses a top-left hole-punch design. The screen size of the phone is expected to be 6.7 inches, and it will be a 120Hz QHD+ OLED display.

In terms of specifications, OnePlus 12 is likely to be equipped with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 mobile platform, which will be released in October. According to recent leaks, OnePlus 12 will have a 5000mAh battery and support 100W or 150W fast wired charging.

There are rumors that the main camera and ultra-wide-angle camera of OnePlus 12 will both have a 50-megapixel resolution, with the main camera using the Sony IMX9 series sensor, while the periscope zoom camera is said to choose a 64-megapixel OmniVision sensor. The front-facing camera is 32 megapixels for selfies.

As a comparison, the OnePlus 11 has a 50-megapixel main camera with an IMX890 sensor, accompanied by a 32-megapixel telephoto lens (IMX709) and a 48-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens (IMX581).

The OnePlus 12 is expected to be released in December.
