According to South Korean economic TV reports, Samsung will launch the S24 series in San Jose, California, USA. Foreign media reports claim that San Jose is the location of Apple’s new headquarters, so holding the event in Apple’s “backyard” could be a bold marketing move by Samsung. The aforementioned TV station confirmed the previous reports and stated that the Samsung Galaxy Unpacked 2024 event would be held 15 days earlier than the S23 series, which was launched on February 1 this year.

According to Mobile China, the S24 series will be Samsung’s first “AI phone” with on-device AI processing capabilities. On-device AI means that data will not be sent back to cloud servers for processing, but tasks will be processed locally, requiring powerful NPU (Neural Processing Unit) chipsets. Foreign media reports claim that the Samsung S24 series will be equipped with either the Exynos 2400 or Snapdragon 8 Gen3 For Galaxy, depending on the market. Both of these chips have powerful NPUs, with the Exynos 2400 being 14.7 times faster than the Exynos 2200 used in the S22 series.
