Samsung S21 FE Snapdragon 888 version released in India, price confirmed and available for sale now

【Phoneauto News】Samsung has updated last year’s Galaxy S21 FE smartphone in India with a new chip. Previously, this phone was quietly available in offline stores. Now, Samsung’s official website has confirmed the release and price of this phone, and it is already on sale.

The new S21 FE is equipped with the Snapdragon 888 5G mobile platform launched two years ago. Its price in India is 49,999 rupees (approximately 4,370 yuan), and only the 8GB+256GB memory version is available. In terms of color options, the new S21 FE offers five choices: navy blue, olive, graphite, lavender, and white. The phone can also be purchased at the Samsung Shop online store. Using HDFC EMI or credit cards can get a discount of 5,000 rupees (approximately 437 yuan).

The initial release of the Samsung S21 FE was equipped with the Exynos 2100 processor. The version with this processor seems to have been discontinued, as offline stores no longer have inventory and the official website has delisted it. This phone can still be purchased on Amazon and Flipkart, but this may only be the remaining inventory of these retailers. For reference, it was launched in January 2022 with a starting price of 54,999 rupees (approximately 4,800 yuan) for the 128GB version.

In terms of configuration, the Samsung S21 FE features a 6.4-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with a refresh rate of 120Hz and Gorilla Glass Victus; a rear camera setup of 12 million pixels main camera + 12 million pixels ultra-wide-angle + 8 million pixels telephoto lens, and a front camera of 32 million pixels; equipped with a 4,500mAh battery, supporting 25W wired fast charging and 15W wireless charging.

The packaging box of the Samsung S21 FE Snapdragon 888 version only comes with a USB-C data cable and does not include a charging adapter. This phone will directly compete with the recently launched OPPO Reno10 series in India. Samsung is expected to release the S23 FE model with various upgrades later this year. However, it did not release an “FE” version of the S22 series.
