Samsung XCover 7 Listed on Certification Website, Anticipated Launch in January with Sleek Design
【Mobile China News】On November 23, it was reported that the Samsung XCover 7 made an appearance on India’s BIS certification platform. The BIS database indicates that the model number of the Samsung XCover 7 is “SM-G556B”. Although no specific information about the new device was obtained through certification, one thing is certain – the XCover 7 will be launched in India.

The Samsung XCover 7 has also been spotted on the Geekbench database, revealing some key specifications, while the leaked render image showcases its design aspects. It is speculated that the XCover 7 is likely to be a rugged version of the A55 5G, possibly equipped with the MediaTek 6100+ chipset; pre-installed with Android 14 operating system, and available in a 6GB RAM variant. The new device achieved single-core and multi-core scores of 663 and 1867 respectively on Geekbench.
In terms of design, similar to other devices in the Samsung XCover series, the upcoming XCover 7 features a durable and rugged design, with a display that has wider bezels and a waterdrop-shaped notch. The back cover comes with a flush design, housing a rear camera and a dual-tone LED flash. The camera also features a circular red decorative ring. The power button and volume rocker are located on the right side, with a customizable XCover button on the left side.

As for the release date of the Samsung XCover 7, it is expected to make its debut in the first quarter of next year (Q1 2024). The price of the new device will be below $599.
