On November 21st, Tesla officially announced, “Starting today, the price of the Long Range version of Model Y will increase by 2000 yuan to 304,400 yuan.” Prior to November 21st, Tesla had already raised prices three times:

On October 27th, Tesla’s Model Y Performance version increased by 14,000 yuan, starting at 363,900 yuan.

On November 9th, Tesla’s Model Y Long Range Dual Motor version increased by 2500 yuan, starting at 302,400 yuan; the Model 3 Long Range Renewal version increased by 1500 yuan, starting at 297,400 yuan.

On November 14th, Tesla’s Model 3 Rear-Wheel Drive Renewal version increased by 1500 yuan, starting at 261,400 yuan; the Model Y Rear-Wheel Drive version increased by 2500 yuan, starting at 266,400 yuan.

According to reports from relevant media, Tesla’s price-raising strategy is not solely influenced by cost-based pricing strategies. On the contrary, Tesla has unique advantages in supply chain management, cost control, and technological innovation, which enable it to maintain a higher residual value while raising prices. According to industry insiders, Tesla’s residual value is much higher than the industry average, which is also an important reason why Tesla dares to raise prices against the trend.
