Tesla's new Model 3 energy consumption exposed 100 km, 125 degrees of electricity To be released this year

【Phoneauto News】Recently, there have been frequent news about Tesla launching a new model, Model 3. According to previous reports, spy photos related to the new model with the codename “Highland” have appeared on the internet multiple times. In addition to the appearance, recently, some netizens have released the energy consumption label data of the car in China, further revealing the weight and energy consumption performance of the new car.

From the pictures released by the netizen, according to the documents submitted by Tesla to the Chinese Ministry of Industry and Information Technology in July, Tesla has applied for new certifications for Model 3 and Model Y. The documents show the range and energy consumption data of the new car, and also reveal that the new Model 3 is slightly heavier by 10 kilograms (22 pounds) compared to the current model, but the range has also slightly improved (increased from 556 kilometers (345 miles) to 563 kilometers (350 miles)). Due to different standards in the same category, these data may not be very accurate, but they still indicate that the new car has been improved.

Model 3 is a mid-size electric sedan launched by Tesla in 2017 and is also one of the best-selling models of the brand. However, over time, compared to other Tesla products such as Model Y, Model S, and Model X, Model 3 appears to be somewhat outdated. These models have all undergone recent upgrades and adopt more advanced technologies and configurations. For example, Model Y uses a structural battery pack and 4680-type battery cells, improving energy density and safety; Model S and Model X adopt a steer-by-wire steering wheel, horizontal screen, and a three-motor system, enhancing driving experience and power performance.

In order to revitalize the Model 3, Tesla launched a project called “Project Highland” last year, aiming to comprehensively redesign the car. It is rumored that the new Model 3 will adopt a production process similar to the Model Y, using large castings and a structured battery pack to reduce costs and weight, and improve strength and efficiency. In addition, the new car will also add some long-awaited features, such as ventilated seats, ambient lighting, matrix LED headlights, and more cameras.
