Volkswagen launches upgraded ID3 with better battery range, starting at around 350,000 yuan
【phoneauto News】According to foreign media reports, in order to further segment the market, Volkswagen recently launched an upgraded version of the ID.3 electric vehicle, which has significantly improved in terms of range and technology configuration. The upgraded version of the ID.3 has a maximum range of 347 miles (about 558 kilometers) and is equipped with the latest generation of mobile online services and multiple driving assistance systems.

The upgraded version of the ID.3 is still based on Volkswagen’s modular electric drive platform (MEB) and is equipped with Volkswagen’s ID. software. Volkswagen has also optimized the charging function of the ID.3. Users can connect the vehicle to their smartphones through Volkswagen’s application and enjoy functions such as navigation, convenience, entertainment, safety, and vehicle status. Users can also purchase additional vehicle functions through the We Connect service.

Volkswagen ID.3
Volkswagen has also equipped the ID.3 with a series of driver assistance systems. The enhanced version of the ID.3 has a memory function for the upgraded version of the parking assist system. It allows drivers to teach the ID.3 repetitive parking operations. The vehicle also has an enhanced HUD that provides navigation direction display within the driver’s field of view.
The upgraded version of the ID.3 comes in two versions: Pro and Pro S. The ID.3 Pro is equipped with a 58 kWh battery, and its range is 266 miles (about 428 kilometers) according to the WLTP standard. It offers 18-inch black alloy wheels, automatic sensing of high and low beams, wireless phone charging, 10-color ambient lighting, and front and rear USB-C ports with a charging power of up to 45W. Another model, the ID.3 Pro S, is equipped with a 77 kWh battery, and its range is 347 miles (about 558 kilometers). In addition to the configuration of the Pro version, it also provides 19-inch silver alloy wheels, matrix LED headlights, driver assistance package “Plus”, temperature-controlled air conditioning, and beats sound system.

As for the price, the starting price of the ID.3 Pro is 37,115 pounds (approximately 341,500 yuan), while the starting price of the ID.3 Pro S is 42,870 pounds (approximately 394,500 yuan). Both models are now available for pre-order.
