【Mobile China News】On November 9th, Zhao Ming, CEO of Honor Terminal Co., Ltd., was invited to attend the World Internet Conference Zhejiang Summit 2023 and participate in the “Global Development Initiative Digital Cooperation Forum”, where he delivered a keynote speech. During the forum, Zhao Ming shared Honor’s innovative practices and development achievements in relation to the core theme of “Stimulating New Growth Momentum for Innovation and Empowering High-Quality Development of the Digital Economy”, with the attendees.
Zhao Ming stated that Honor adheres to a strategy of globalization, high-end development, smartification, and ecologicalization. They continue to increase investment in innovation, allocating 10% of their revenue to research and development annually. Among their 13,000 employees, over 60% are R&D personnel. They have filed more than 17,000 patent applications globally, with over 300 new patent applications each month.
According to the “2022 Fortune China 500 List” released by the China Enterprise Confederation and China Entrepreneur Association, Honor ranks among the top six in terms of R&D intensity, and is the number one mobile electronics consumer brand in China. Currently, Honor has established seven major research and development bases and over 100 innovation laboratories worldwide, conducting technological breakthroughs and fundamental innovations in various aspects such as communication, imaging, battery life, systems, and screens. Zhao Ming emphasized that “Honor always puts consumers at the center, making long-term investments in innovation and technology, continuously creating value for consumers.”
Zhao Ming also emphasized that innovation and development cannot be separated from global cooperation. In the era of digitization, Honor actively collaborates with global industrial partners to explore the value of smart terminal entry points and share new opportunities for development. In terms of hardware innovation, Honor has fully unleashed the hardware’s characteristics and potential through joint development and innovation with global industrial partners.
